Welcome to the fourth edition of The Alpinist, a half-termly support bulletin to help with common data queries at particular times of year, top tips and key updates in the Alps Connect platform. In this edition, we share an exciting update on the release of our new Alps user interface and details on the recently deployed 2024 DfE national benchmark.

​Our New User Interface!

Exciting things are coming to Alps Connect and Summit in June! We have redesigned our Alps user interface to simplify navigation and make our platform more intuitive. To find out more about the changes, please register for our upcoming UX/UI webinar series at the end of this bulletin.

FAQs

Why has the UI changed? 

We received feedback from some Alps users that navigation in Connect can be quite tricky and it can take several clicks to find specific areas. The new user interface has been carefully designed to make navigation simple and efficient. 


Will I need to do anything to access the new user interface? 

No, the new user interface will automatically be released to all users in June. Messages will appear in Connect to remind you in the run up to release. 


Will the new interface change my Alps scores or analysis? 

No, all features currently in Alps Connect and Summit will be available in the new user interface and the changeover will have no affect on your data. 


Is there any training available on the new user interface? 

Yes, we are running a weekly drop in webinar that demonstrates the updates and each session ends with a Q&A for any of your queries. See below for further details.

The sessions will run throughout May and June, offering the opportunity to explore the updated functionality and ensuring you are well prepared ahead of the release in June. On May 1st we deployed the 2024 DfE national data to the Alps Connect and Summit platforms in England. Please note this does not affect Wales or NI.
