In Alps Connect and Summit, we have pre-defined fields for the following contextual Student Data: Gender, Disadvantage, Ethnicity, EAL, SEND.
If there are other fields that you would like to use to filter your analysis, you can set these up as Custom Columns. Then your schools and colleges will be able to upload data into the Custom Column, which will pull through into Summit.
To set up a Custom Column, click into Group Setup Management and click Analysis Setup.
In Analysis Setup, click into Custom Columns, found in the left menu:
This will open the Custom Columns page where you can click Add a Custom Column.
This will open up a pop-up where you can name your Custom Column, and determine the different accepted values. We recommend not adding too many different values, as this can make your analysis tables too fragmented. Then press Add Custom Column.
Your Custom Column will appear in the list and you can then press Save Custom Columns to submit.
