What can you do in the new strategic section - switch qualification types and gradepoints

In the new strategic section, we have designed the qualifcations option to be easy to apply and flexible. There are two ways in which you can use the comparison option to compare the performance of your student groups across the strategic pages:

Watch our short video

1. Apply the examination level as you create the session - this will automatically apply each qualification type to all relevant pages in the strategic session. You will have to select one qualification type but you can select several at the beginning of the session.
NOTE: the options available to you here will depend on your gradepoint selection. The qualifications available will adjust according to data available in your primary gradepoint.
  1. If you have a results gradepoint selected then you will be able to choose KS5 and KS4 from the dropdown
  2. A KS5 monitoring gradepoint will allow for the selection of KS5 qualifications only
  3. A KS4 monitoring gradepoint will allow for the selection of KS4 qualifications only

2. Apply an additional qualification once you are in an active session to individual pages.
  1. Once you begin a session, you can add qualification types according to the data in your primary gradepoint.
  2. Qualifications selected on the landing page will show as tabs, and you can navigate between the qualification types without having to restart the strategic template

  1. You can add more qualifications using the 'Add exam levels' dropdown
You can then click between the tabs without the need to regenerate and restart from the beginning.

Changing gradepoint

Once you have begun a session, you can also change the gradepoint to another selection containing the same qualification types as you have in your current session. In other words, if you have begun an A level session, you will be able to change gradepoints to a different A level selection.

Should you wish to switch to a KS4 gradepoint and you are not in an examination gradepoint containing both KS4 and 5, you will be prompted to end the session and start another for KS4.
