KS4 Performance Measures

You can now access the DfE accountability measures for A Level within the Connect platform. These include headline metrics such as best 3 A Levels, average point score and students achieving AAB in 2 facilitating subjects. 

To access the A Level Performance Measures, first select your Gradepoint in step 1 of the homepage, then navigate to the Performance Measures zone and click Choose


This will open the Performance Measures menu, where you can either select from the four options to go straight to that metric, or select View KS4 PM to go to the overview page. After clicking the View KS4 PM button, it will take you to the Attainment Measures screen, which includes four bar charts showing your Attainment 8 Average, EBacc Average Point Score, Percentage English & Maths Grade 4+ and the same for Grade 5+. The bars are colour coded, showing the different Gradepoints included in your trend. The charts will also display the comparison field chose in the Select Comparison drop down, in the example below Disadvantage has been selected:




Below the bar charts, as indicated above, there are 7 drop down tables available, each breaking down the labelled metrics. Clicking on each one will expand the table as indicated below. You can use the %/Count Toggle to change your metrics between percentage and number of students. You can also export any table to Excel, using the blue export button. 


Progress 8 Measures

To see the Progress 8 Measures for your selected Gradepoint, you can either click Progress 8 Measures in from the Choose button as shown at the start of this article, or in the section click the Progress 8 Measures tab as indicated below: 

The Progress 8 zone gives your overall values for Attainment 8 and Progress 8, as well as the Confidence Interval. It also gives these values for the English, Maths, EBacc and Open buckets. Please note if you are using CAT4 Mean SAS as your Prior Attainment, you will not see Progress 8 values.

To filter your tables, use the Select Comparison drop down and select a value. This will create a separate table for each comparison value:
