KS2 Prior Attainment for KS4

To import KS2 Scaled Scores into Alps Connect there are two options.

Using GIAP

Visit the Get Information About Pupils (GIAP) website and enter your DfE username and password.

Select Search NPD with UPN

Select the KS2 download file.

If you have multiple files, combine the CSV files you have downloaded into one overall file. You do not need to change the format of this file - simply save this and import it using the +Add Data button beneath the Prior Attainment heading.


Importing KS2 Score from Other Sources

If you do not have access to GIAP but you already have your students KS2 Scores, all you need to do is take an average of the Maths and Reading Scores and put that in a file that contains the Student ID.

Once you have that file, navigate to Cohorts in the Data Management tab, click into your Year Group and select Import Additional Data.


When the pop up appears, select Update & Merge and then Student Data not Prior Attainment.


Follow the import wizard, and when it comes to map your columns you will be able to map your KS2 Scaled Score column.
