We have made some big changes to our Group Reports and the Reports and Downloads area of Alps Summit. The key updates include:
- A new upload tracking table, allowing you to
see which schools/colleges have submitted their data, and which have yet to do
so.
- Control over when you receive your report. You can generate a report as soon as one school has submitted data, or use the tracking table to decide when to create a report.
- The ability to bookmark and label report bundles, allowing for easy collaboration between Summit users.
- A handful of new pages providing key metrics that are now easily accessed.
Upload tracking
We have added a new table to the Group Reports page, allowing you to track which of your schools have uploaded their examination results. This allows you to decide when to generate your report, and will help you to ensure timely upload of Results by your schools.
Using this table you can quickly who has submitted KS5 and KS4 data, when that data was updated, and if they have agreed to data sharing. The 'Included in Group Project' column allows you to see which schools you expect to submit KS5 and KS4 data.
Generating your reports
The new development allows you to generate your own report, this means that you can have your report as soon as your schools have uploaded their data. You don't need to wait for Alps to create it for you, improving timeliness of your reports at this key time of year. You can 'Request Reports' using the button shown below whenever you have new data you wish to analyse.
Bookmarking and labelling your reports
Once your report is ready,
a new version will appear in the relevant accordion. Open the accordion to export
your report bundle in one go, or quickly download individual files. You can generate reports as frequently as you like, but by default we will only keep the most recent five. If you would like to keep a specific version of your report, the one used for your Group feedback meeting, for example, then you bookmark that report version.
The reports themselves still contain the analysis you know and love, but with an updated look and feel, with a handful of new pages:
Cohort Profile
The cohort profile page provides an overview of cohort demographics and tracks changes over time, removing the need for extra analysis. This page will help you to understand student profiles, informing intervention planning, curriculum design, advice and guidance, as well as decisions around funding, staffing, and resource allocation.
Quality Indicator
The Quality Indicator page is a new addition to our Group Reports, and gives a clear and accessible overview of your group's overall progress and performance across subjects. The thermometer shows the overall QI grade and score, showing where your group sits within the Alps Grade. This page makes it easier for leaders to understand how individual subjects contribute to the overall QI, enabling quick identification of strengths, weaknesses, and improvement priorities.
Quality Indicator Gap Analysis
New for KS5 - the QI Gap Analysis page will help you to compare QI scores between disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged students. This page makes it quicker to understand where gaps exist and, enabling you to target interventions and allocate support, supporting you to narrow performance gaps.
FAQ
How do I access my reports?
From your Summit homepage, click on the Reports & Downloads item in the left-hand menu, then choose 'New Group Reports'.
How frequently can I generate a report?
You can generate a report as often as your schools upload new data or edit data. When new data has been published by a school/college in your group you will receive a notification to let you know that you can, if you wish, generate a new report to include that updated analysis.
Why is the button greyed out?
If the 'Request Report' button is not available to be clicked, it may mean that your schools/colleges have not submitted any data wit which to generate a report. Alternatively it could be that they schools/colleges have not agreed to data sharing within Connect. Both of these can be checked using the upload tracking table on the New Group Reports page in Summit.
The Request Reports button is also disabled when you have the latest version of the report available. It will be re-enabled when new analysis is available.
Can we save a specific report?
Yes - use the bookmarking tool to save a report and make sure it remains available in the Summit account.
Can everyone see the label I add to the report?
Yes - this label is shared across the Summit account to assist collaboration.
How do I access my old reports?
Your reports from previous Results seasons are available in the 'Old Group Reports' section.
