Duplicating Teaching Sets

Duplicating Teaching Sets

Multiple GCSE subjects are often taught within one teaching set, such as English Language and English Literature or separate sciences. When it comes to mapping these teaching sets you may find that you need to duplicate your 'English' teaching set before you can map to English Language and English Literature.

You can duplicate the entries in Excel before import or during the import.

Before import - in Excel

Copy and paste the data you wish to duplicate, making sure to change the subject name slightly. A generic 'English' subject for example could be changed to 'English Lang' and 'English Lit'. This will allow you to map the subject and the Teaching Sets to 'GCSE - English Language' and 'GCSE - English Literature' respectively.

During import - within the wizard

You can copy your Teaching Sets during the Map Subjects step of the wizard. To do this, click on the symbol next to the subject you wish to copy, then map the duplicated subject. The example below shows this with English and Science.
