This article will define a consortium, and explain how to set up your student data to enable monitoring and end of year results analysis.
Are we a Consortium?
Consortia analysis is for schools/colleges who have enrolled students that are taught elsewhere and teach students that are not enrolled at their school/college.
At the start of the academic year students are tagged with the school/college that are enrolled at and each subject is tagged with where the student is taught.
This will enable Connect Interactive to show the progress of students both in terms of:
At the end of the year the results pdf reports available are:
Please see this article for the best practise use of Consortia analysis in Connect interactive.
You will first need to turn on Consortium Settings within the 'Manage Data' section.
Step 1: Click into 'Manage Data' from the homepage of Connect:
Step 2: Select 'Consortium Schools' from the sidebar on the left-hand side:
Step 3: Use the toggle to enable consortium headers:
Once this setting is enabled, you will then be able to add Taught At and Roll data into your student data.
Note: Each school/college will need to do this in their Connect account. They will then be able to include the students' Roll organisation in the Year Group import, and for each subject in the Teaching Data import they can include the identifier of the organisation where they are taught.
The Roll data should be imported at the same time as your Student Data. The Roll data is simply the site at which a student is enrolled.
Your Excel file that you import into the Student Data Import Wizard should look something like the example below:
Once this file is prepared, you will then be able to import your Roll data alongside your student data.

The Taught At data should be imported at the same time as your teaching data. The Taught At data is simply the site at which a student is taught a particular subject.
Your Excel file that you import into the Teaching Data Import Wizard should look something like the example below:
Even if the student is enrolled and taught at the same school, you should still populate their taught at data with the appropriate school.
Once this file is prepared you will then be able to import your Taught At data alongside your teaching data.

Once your TaughtAt and Roll data has been added, you can then begin to analyse your data in Connect Interactive.
We recommend deciding on initials for each school/college and keeping these consistent when submitting data, whether through one central account or each individual school/college account. Once we have the data for each school/college within the consortium we will be able to run the reports.
For example, the Alps Example School/College names are below, with some suggestions for initials that could be used:
Green Abbey | GAB |
Greenbeck School | GBS |
High Spirits School | HSS |
